Consultech
has some clients that rely on us for our HR
Consulting services. This is an area offered
by Consultech which provides a pro-active approach
to avoiding, for example wrongful discharge
claims. For example a supervisor may contact
us because he wants to replace a worker who
is out on a worker’s compensation claim.
Depending on the circumstances, terminating
the employee may not be a viable option due
to protection it may afford the employee under
the Americans for Disability Act or the Family
Medical Leave Act. Or a former employee calls
and states that he is due overtime over the
past year. Again depending on the circumstances
and the law we may or may not recommend that
the client pay. Consultech’s job in this
regard is to avoid a claim or if a claim is
filed what would be our client’s defense,
if any. |
